Safety and privacy
Minerva MEET is for groups of people who know each other. There is no way to find or contact strangers.
Who can join a group
Joining takes an invite link or QR code and a member's approval. Everyone in the group is told who joined and who approved them.
Leave a group
- In Settings, open the Groups tab and tap the group.
- Tap “Leave Group”, then “Leave”, and confirm.
If you are the last member, the group is deleted. Content you posted stays in the group.
Remove a member
If someone should no longer be in the group, open the group's settings, choose “Remove Member”, enter their email address and tap “Request Member Removal”. Every member is told, and unless another member cancels it before the deadline (usually 15 days), the member is removed.
Delete a group
In the group's settings, “Delete Group” › “Request Group Deletion” deletes the group and everything in it after about two weeks. Until then, any member can cancel. If you are the only member, it is deleted at once.
How your privacy is protected
- Profiles and posts are visible only to members of the same group (a poll page shared by link can be seen by anyone with the link).
- Photos lose their location and other embedded data on your device before upload.
- Turn each kind of notification on or off in Settings › User › Notifications.
Report a problem
If you see harassment, inappropriate content or misuse of an account, tell us through this contact form with the group's name and what happened. We review every report and act on it. Content or users that break the Terms of Use may be removed or suspended.
