Deleting your account

How to delete your Minerva MEET account (provided by Hoot Hall LLC) and the data that goes with it. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account. To delete only some of your data, see Delete some of your data.

Before you delete

• Cancel your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. See Premium plans for how to cancel.
• Content you posted in groups stays in those groups after your account is deleted. Delete anything you do not want to remain first.

Delete in the app

1. Open Settings (the gear icon at the top right) and choose the User tab.
2. Open “Delete Account” and tap the red “Delete Account” button.
3. Sign in again to confirm (Apple, Google, or your email and password).
4. Confirm in “Confirm Account Deletion”.

If you cannot use the app

Send an account deletion request through this contact form, with the email address you signed up with. We confirm that the request comes from you and then delete the account.

What is deleted

• Your profile (name, email address, profile picture) and app settings
• Your sign-in account
• Your membership of every group and room (you leave them all)
• Invite links you made, join requests, and your answers on poll pages
• Your Google Calendar Sync settings

What stays

• Content you posted in groups (chat messages, bulletin posts, events, to-dos, notes, album photos and videos, comments and the like) stays as part of the group's shared record.
• If you were a group's only member, that group is deleted with all its content.
• Purchase records are kept according to the policies of each store and RevenueCat.

Delete some of your data

You can delete what you posted at any time without deleting your account. It is removed for everyone in the group.

• Chat message: press and hold your message, then tap Delete.
• Bulletin post, event, to-do or note: open it and tap Delete.
• Album photo or video: open it and delete it, or select several in the album and delete them together. When you delete an album, you choose whether its photos and videos go with it.
• Comment: open the comments and delete your comment.
• Name and profile picture: change them in Settings › User.
• A whole group: in Settings › Groups, open the group and choose Delete Group. It is deleted after a two-week grace period, or at once if you are its only member.

To have other data deleted, send a request through this contact form with the email address you signed up with. We confirm that the request comes from you and then delete the data.
